With the Ministry of Sound debuting their own electronic music streaming service, following the release of online radio-turned-app Digitally Imported, EDM has becoming a mainstay in the music industry, as more people more than ever are attending festivals to be in the presence of fellow fans and these modern day electronic rock stars.

Because of the huge turnouts nowadays, more app developers are realizing the potential for this niche market, designing apps that will be practical for festival season. Although, Gaming Realms, the operators of the Spin Genie brand explain that games do account for more than 50% of smartphone app usage, music is quickly rising to the top as one of the most popular app categories accessed by Millennials. A study from Statista indicates that 42% of Millennial internet users use their phones for music-related purposes, so if a large majority of under 40-something-year-olds are relying on their gadgets for early bird ticket specials and festival survival guides, you can too.

Every major festival has their own app, but here we’ll focus on the apps that every EDM fan can use for any and every event.
